We will have a student-guided tour of the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law at 11 am immediately followed by a student-guided tour of Drexel Kline School of Law at 12 pm. Dress code is business casual. Following these tours, we will meet in the famous food court at University City for lunch together. If you would like to travel with a group, meet at the subway on Broad St. and Cecil B. Moore at 10:15 am.

Distinguished Speaker: Stanley Ellenberg

Stanley J. Ellenberg is the founder of Ellenberg Law Group, a Philadelphia law firm providing a broad base of legal services to individuals and businesses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as a nationwide immigration law practice. In over 40 years of legal practice, Mr. Ellenberg has helped countless clients in a wide range of legal matters, including immigration, business and real estate, and personal injury. He received a number of degrees including, a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University, Master of Science from Villanova University, Master of Business Administration from Temple University, and a JD from Temple Beasley School of Law.

Distinguished Speaker: Alan Nochumson

Alan Nochumson is the founder of Nochumson P.C., a law firm headquartered in Center City, Philadelphia. By mayoral appointment, Nochumson has sat on several city-chartered boards focusing on real estate and economic development. He served on the Board of Directors of both the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development (PAID) and the Philadelphia Commercial Development Corporation (PCDC). Nochumson continues to serve as a leader in the legal and judicial communities. Over the past several years, he has investigated and made recommendations of the fitness of candidates for the state judiciary. He received his B.A. from University at Albany and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.

This is a joint meeting with Temple Real Estate Organization, and will take place in our regular meeting room, Alter A238.

Gary Green is the President of Sidkoff, Pincus, & Green. He practices in many different areas, including antitrust, business law, intellectual property, and securities law. Mr. Green received his J.D. from Villanova University. He will be joining PAD members to specifically discuss whistleblower cases and restrictive covenants.

Distinguished Speaker: Laurie Kleinman

Laurie Kleinman is Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs & Risk Management. In this position, Kleinman is responsible for designing and implementing an overall risk management policy, handling all safety and insurance issues throughout the company, procuring and maintaining all insurance programs and the oversight and management of all liability matters. Kleinman joined Comcast Spectacor in 2016 as Vice President of Risk Management before being promoted to her current role in 2024. Kleinman graduated from the University of Connecticut before earning her Juris Doctor (JD) cum laude from the Villanova University School of Law.

This will be a joint meeting with Gamma Iota Sigma in Alter A031.

Distinguished Speaker: David Mandelbaum

David G. Mandelbaum represents clients facing problems under environmental laws. He regularly represents clients in lawsuits and also has helped clients achieve satisfactory outcomes through regulatory negotiation or private transactions. His concentrations are air, water, and waste regulation, superfund and contamination, climate change, oil and gas development, and water rights. A Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers, David teaches Superfund, and Oil and Gas Law in rotation at the Temple University Beasley School of Law as well as an environmental litigation course at Suffolk (Boston) Law School. He received an A.B., summa cum laude, from Harvard College in 1980 and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1983.

Rachel Barnes counsels clients on various corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, corporate governance, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. She supports clients ranging from start-ups and emerging growth businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Having traveled to more than 15 countries around the world, Rachel uses her global perspective, education, and professional background to provide exceptional service tailored to fit her clients’ needs. Rachel is the newest addition to PAD’s mock trial team serving as the new coach. She received a Bachelor of Economics with a minor in Spanish, cum laude, from University of Georgia. As well as, an M.B.A. from University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law.

Distinguished Speaker: Jocelyn Samuels

Jocelyn Samuels was designated by President Biden as Vice Chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on January 20, 2021. Earlier in the Obama Administration, Vice Chair Samuels served as Acting Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice and held other positions as a political appointee within the DOJ Civil Rights Division. Vice Chair Samuels earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Middlebury College. She is a graduate of Columbia University Law School where she was a Note Editor for The Columbia Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
