Distinguished Speaker: Adam S. Getson

Adam S. Getson is a distinguished Partner at Wapner Newman, P.C., specializing in Plaintiffs' Civil Trial Litigation, with a focus on Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury law. Since 2003, Mr. Getson has successfully represented injured victims in a wide array of complex matters, including motor vehicle accidents, product liability, and nursing home neglect, and he is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He earned his Juris Doctor from Widener School of Law after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and he also studied International Law at the University of Technology Sydney. Volunteers led by Philanthropy Chair Avery Prendergast will be working with staff to assist this Emergency Family Shelter. Tasks may include packing care kits, decorating, organizing donation closets, and more!

Volunteers will meet outside Alter Hall at 9:30 before travelling to the shelter.

Kila Baldwin is a highly accomplished trial attorney and Shareholder at Anapol Weiss, specializing in Plaintiffs' Litigation, particularly in complex Mass Torts, Medical Malpractice, and Defective Medical Devices. Her distinguished experience includes securing landmark verdicts of up to $80 million in mass tort cases, as well as other significant recoveries, including a $20.7 million verdict against Honda. Ms. Baldwin's academic background is equally impressive, including a dual J.D./M.B.A. and an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law, as well as a Phi Beta Kappa degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. Harris J. Chernow is a distinguished legal professional specializing in Franchise & Distribution Law, Hospitality Law, Corporate & Business Services, Mergers & Acquisitions, Executive Employment, Leasing and Real Estate, and Mediation and Arbitration. He serves as a Partner and Chair of the national Franchise & Distribution Practice Group at Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP, and is also Counsel to the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA) Board. With nearly 30 years of experience, Mr. Chernow has developed a national practice representing franchisors, franchisees, and distributors, and is frequently appointed as an arbitrator and mediator. He earned his B.B.A. from Temple University Fox School of Business and Management in 1985 and his J.D. from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in 1988. Melinda C. Ghilardi is a seasoned Personal Injury Attorney at Munley Law, with nearly 40 years of litigation experience.
